We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer (all)
Join us and take the opportunity to take the lead in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex cloud-based infrastructure.
This role can be located in Riga or Cologne office, hybrid mode is supported.
Your mission
  • You develop the DevOps mindset in the team
  • You take the lead in defining, implementing and supporting the operating models for the services
  • You operate and monitor a cloud-based networking application on top of Kubernetes
  • You are responsible for creating software deployment strategies that are essential for the successful deployment of software in the work environment
  • You identify and implement data storage methods like clustering to improve the performance
  • You identify issues in the production phase and system and implement monitoring solutions to overcome those issues.
  • You ensure automation of processes via Infrastructure-As-Code
  • You stay ahead of industry trends and best practices. You conduct research, tests, and execute new techniques which could be reused and applied to the software development projects.
  • You are accountable for conducting training sessions for the juniors in the team, and other groups regarding how to build processes 
  • You are responsible for the architecture and technical leadership of the complete DevOps infrastructure.
  • You work closely with developers to continuously optimize and improve the platform
Your skills
  • 7+ Years experience in the Development space of which 3+ year experience in the DevOps space
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team
  • You have experience with modern practices such as CI/CD Pipeline, IaaC, Code Reviews
  • You have experience with network setup and maintenance
  • You have experience with and good understanding of virtualization orchestration technologies such as Docker, qemu, Openstack / Openshift, Kubernetes
  • You have experience with dev tools and workflows, especial GIT / Continuous integration, branching and deployment strategies
  • You are able to write scripts for testing and automation
  • You have ability and good understanding of troubleshooting techniques related to performance and networking including root cause analysis in order to build a more fault-tolerant system
  • You have experience in working with agile teams
  • You have demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • You speak English fluently 
Nice to have:
  • Experience with security practices and DevSecOps
  • Experience with application security testing and related processes (SAST/DAST)
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications or IoT industry
