Our Enterprise Architecture team is looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect IT – Europe (all).
Join us and help us revolutionize the world of IoT. This role strongly focuses on AWS cloud, software development, and solution architecture. Main responsibilities include creating robust, secure, scalable, and user-friendly IT solutions according to company’s needs. High importance is put on hands-on approach, collaboration with multiple teams to understand business needs, align appropriate technical solutions and foster development of enterprise-grade IT solutions.
This role can be onsite/hybrid in our Cologne or Riga offices or fully-remote within Europe.

Your mission

Design IT Solutions: Design, develop and implement cloud-based enterprise IT solutions;
Work on Architecture: Create high-level to low-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems;
Cooperate with Teams: Collaborate with development teams and fellow engineers, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with the architectural vision;
Design Strategies: Develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and implementation of a database;
Work on Best Practices: You develop software solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability of cloud-based systems;
Stay Up-to-Date: Learn the latest cloud services and contribute to the design of optimal solutions;
Coach: Train and mentor junior team members in cloud and IT architecture and software development.

Your skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience;
Experience: You have as a minimum 5 years of experience in software development and cloud architecture, with at least 3 years specifically focusing on AWS;
AWS Expertise: Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.), including designing, building, and deploying scalable and cost-effective applications;
Software Development: Have a strong background in coding and software development. You are proficient in multiple programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, Node.Js, Go);
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expert in CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools;
Microservices and Serverless Architecture: Understand and have experience in designing and building microservices architecture, including experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda;
DevOps Practices: Be familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc. You possess understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes;
Security: Knowledge of AWS security best practices, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. You have experience with IAM and security tools like AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc;
Databases: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. You have solid understanding of database architecture and data warehousing solutions;
Certificates: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional level is highly preferred;
Communication and Language Skills: Good English skills in speaking and writing, and you possess excellent communication and leadership skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
